1. Who We Are

This Privacy Policy describes how the Instant Quote Calculator app (“we”, “our”, “the app”) handles information when it is installed on a Wix website. The app is developed and operated by an independent developer and is distributed through the Wix App Market.

2. Roles

The site owner who installs the app is the data controller for the calculators they create and for the requests they collect from their visitors. We act as a data processor, operating the app’s backend on the site owner’s behalf. All calculator and request data is stored in the site owner’s own Wix Data collections on Wix infrastructure and is subject to Wix’s Privacy Policy.

3. What Data the App Processes

Calculator content (entered by the site owner): field names, options, prices, formulas, texts, appearance settings and, on the paid plan, a webhook address. Stored in the site’s Wix Data collections.

Quote requests (submitted by site visitors): when a visitor sends a request, the app stores the name, email address, phone number and message the visitor typed (only the fields the site owner chose to ask for), the answers they selected, and the price breakdown. The price stored is calculated by the app’s server from the site owner’s settings.

Contacts: the app adds the visitor’s name, email address and phone number to the site owner’s Wix Contacts so the request appears with the owner’s other customers.

Copy of the estimate (optional): if the site owner turns this on for a calculator, the visitor’s email address, name and the estimate are sent to Wix’s email service to deliver a one-time copy of the estimate to the visitor. The email is a transactional message about the visitor’s own request; replies go to the site owner.

Notifications and webhooks: a notification containing the visitor’s name, the quoted total and the calculator name is sent to the site owner’s Wix dashboard and the Wix Owner app. If the site owner (on the paid plan) enters a webhook address, each request is also sent to that address; the site owner is responsible for the service they choose.

Usage counts: anonymous counters per calculator and day (visits, started, quote shown, requests sent, sum of quoted totals). They contain no personal data.

4. Cookies and Local Storage

The app does not set any cookies. In the visitor’s browser it uses sessionStorage to remember that a calculator’s usage counters were already reported in the current session and to keep a copy of the calculator’s settings for faster loading. These values contain no personal data and are cleared when the browser tab is closed.

5. Third-Party Services

The app uses no analytics, tracking or advertising services of its own and makes no requests to third-party servers from visitors’ browsers. The only third-party transfer is the optional webhook described above, which is configured by the site owner.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Calculators, requests and usage counters persist in the site owner’s Wix Data collections until the site owner deletes them or uninstalls the app. Deleting a calculator does not delete the requests it collected. Site owners can delete any request from the Requests tab of the app dashboard or in the Wix CMS.

Because the app stores visitor requests on the site owner’s behalf, the site owner is responsible for having a lawful basis for that processing, for telling visitors in their own privacy policy that the details are collected, and for responding to data-subject requests, using the delete tools in the dashboard and in Wix. The app can show a consent checkbox with text chosen by the site owner. We do not use any of this data for our own purposes, do not sell it, and do not share it with third parties.

8. Children’s Privacy

The app is not directed at children. Site owners should not use it to knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 (or the age of digital consent in their jurisdiction).

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the latest revision.
