1. Who We Are

This Privacy Policy describes how the Accessibility Widget app (“we”, “our”, “the app”) handles information when installed on a Wix website.

The app is developed and operated by an independent developer and is available through the Wix App Market.

2. What Data We Collect

We do not collect any personal data.

The Accessibility Widget operates entirely client-side. All user preferences (font size, contrast settings, dark mode, etc.) are stored in the visitor’s own browser using localStorage. This data:

  • Never leaves the visitor’s device
  • Is never transmitted to any server
  • Is not accessible by us or the site owner
  • Is deleted when the visitor clears their browser storage

3. Dashboard Configuration

When a Wix site owner configures the widget through the Dashboard (color, position, enabled features, feedback email), these settings are stored as Wix Embedded Script parameters — a native Wix feature. This data is managed by Wix and subject to Wix’s Privacy Policy.

We do not store or have access to the configuration data entered in the Dashboard.

4. Feedback Email Feature

If the site owner enables the feedback email feature and a visitor submits accessibility feedback, the email is sent directly from the visitor’s email client to the address configured by the site owner. We are not a party to this communication and do not receive, store, or process these emails.

5. Third-Party Services

The widget loads the OpenDyslexic font from fonts.cdnfonts.com when the Dyslexia-Friendly Font feature is activated. This is a standard CDN font request. Please refer to cdnfonts.com’s privacy policy for details.

No other third-party services, analytics, tracking scripts, or advertising networks are used.

6. Cookies

The Accessibility Widget does not set any cookies. Visitor preferences are stored exclusively in localStorage.

7. GDPR Compliance

As we do not collect, process, or store any personal data, this app has no obligations under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or similar privacy regulations (CCPA, etc.).

8. Children’s Privacy

This app does not collect any data from any users, including children under the age of 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this document will reflect any changes. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
