Terms of Service — Meme Maker

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing or using the Meme Maker app (“the App”) from the Wix App Market, you (“Site Owner”) agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not install the App.

2. Description of Service

Meme Maker is a Wix App Market application that lets you set up meme generators with your own or built-in pictures, display them on your Wix website through a widget where visitors create, download and share memes, add your watermark to those images, optionally collect email addresses from visitors, add them to your Wix contacts, and see basic usage counts. Some features are available only under a paid subscription.

3. License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on Wix websites you own or manage.

4. Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for the pictures, captions, watermark, logo and texts you configure, for having the rights to every image you use (classic meme photos are often protected by copyright), and for the personal data you collect from your visitors through the App. Visitors create memes in their own browsers; the App does not review or moderate what they make, and the blocked-words list is a deterrent, not a guarantee. You must:

You may not use the App for unlawful purposes, to encourage defamatory, hateful or infringing content, to collect data from children in violation of applicable law, to run contests or prize draws without complying with the rules that apply to them, or to send unsolicited messages to the people who left their details.

5. Prohibited Uses

You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App; resell or sublicense it; or create derivative works based on it.

6. Free and Paid Plans

Free plan: one live meme generator with up to eight templates, unlimited memes, visitor photos, emoji, text watermark, blocked words and eight languages. A small “Made with Meme Maker” line is shown under the widget.

Premium plan: more live generators with up to 60 templates each, a logo watermark, email before download with CSV export, extra fonts, a custom accent color, longer insights, and removal of the “Made with” line. Payments are processed by Wix through the Wix Billing System. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. If plans change, existing subscribers keep access to what they already paid for.

Refunds: subject to Wix’s standard refund policy for App Market subscriptions.

7. Service Availability

We strive to keep the App in good working order but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, freedom from bugs, or compatibility with every browser, device, or third-party Wix app. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App with reasonable notice.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of business, revenue, or data, including losses that result from content you or your visitors create with the App. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the App is to uninstall it.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App, your generators, the content made with them and collected data, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer is located, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
