1. Who We Are

This Privacy Policy describes how the Property Listings app (“we”, “our”, “the app”) handles information when it is installed on a Wix website. The app is developed and operated by an independent developer and is distributed through the Wix App Market.

2. Roles

The site owner who installs the app is the data controller for the properties they add and for the enquiries their visitors send. We act as a data processor, operating the app’s backend on the site owner’s behalf. All data is stored in the site owner’s own Wix Data collections on Wix infrastructure and is subject to Wix’s Privacy Policy.

3. What Data the App Processes

Properties added by the site owner: title, reference, status, type, price, address, location, rooms, areas, features, description, photo links, video and tour links, tags and facts, typed in or imported by the site owner.

Board settings: layout, theme, colors, filters, texts, and the contact phone, WhatsApp number and email address the site owner chooses to show on the site.

Enquiries sent by visitors (only if the site owner keeps the enquiry form on): the visitor’s name, email address, message, the property it is about and, if the site owner asks for it, a phone number. Enquiries are never shown on the site; only the site owner sees them in the app dashboard. The site owner is notified of each new enquiry through Wix notifications.

Spam protection: to limit how many enquiries one network can send per day, the app stores a one-way hash (SHA-256) of the sender’s network address combined with the board and the date. The network address itself is not stored, and the hash cannot be linked across days or boards.

4. Cookies and Local Storage

The app does not set any cookies. In the visitor’s browser it uses sessionStorage to keep a copy of the board’s published properties for faster loading; it is cleared when the tab is closed.

5. Third-Party Services

The app uses no analytics, tracking or advertising services and embeds no maps or videos. From visitors’ browsers it loads only the photos the site owner chooses (normally hosted on Wix Media). Google Maps, WhatsApp, video and virtual tour pages open only when a visitor clicks the matching link or button, and are then governed by those services’ own policies.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Properties, boards and enquiries persist in the site owner’s Wix Data collections until the site owner deletes them in the app dashboard or in the Wix CMS, or uninstalls the app. Removing a board or the widget does not delete properties or enquiries.

The site owner is responsible for having a lawful basis for the enquiries they receive, for telling visitors in their own privacy policy that the enquiry form stores what they send (the app offers an optional consent checkbox), and for responding to data-subject requests using the delete tools in the dashboard and in Wix. We do not use this data for our own purposes, do not sell it and do not share it with third parties.

8. Children’s Privacy

The app is not directed at children. Site owners should not use the enquiry form to knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 (or the age of digital consent in their jurisdiction).

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the latest revision.
