1. Who We Are
This Privacy Policy describes how the Launch Countdown app (“we”, “our”, “the app”) handles information when it is installed on a Wix website. The app is developed and operated by an independent developer and is distributed through the Wix App Market.

2. Roles
The site owner who installs the app decides what the countdowns show. The countdown settings are stored in the site owner’s own Wix Data collection on Wix infrastructure and are subject to Wix’s Privacy Policy.
3. What Data the App Processes
Countdown settings (entered by the site owner): names, launch dates and times, time zones, texts, button labels and links, theme and colors, and an optional background image link. Stored in the site’s Wix Data collection.
Site visitors: the app does not collect, store or send any personal data about visitors. The visitor’s browser reads the countdown settings from the app’s server and computes the remaining time locally, using the browser’s own time zone. The server’s clock time is returned with the settings so a wrong device clock can be corrected; nothing about the visitor is stored.
4. Cookies and Local Storage
The app does not set any cookies. In the visitor’s browser it uses sessionStorage to keep a copy of the countdown settings for faster loading (cleared when the tab is closed). For “personal” (evergreen) timers only, it keeps one number in localStorage: the time the visitor first saw that countdown, so reloading the page does not restart it. This value contains no personal data and never leaves the browser.
5. Add to Calendar
If the visitor chooses “Add to calendar”, the app either opens Google Calendar with the event title and time filled in (the visitor then decides whether to save it in their Google account), or creates a standard .ics file on the visitor’s device. Nothing is sent to us.
6. Third-Party Services
The app uses no analytics, tracking or advertising services and makes no requests to third-party servers from visitors’ browsers, except the background image the site owner chooses (normally hosted on Wix Media) and Google Calendar when the visitor clicks that option.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
Countdown settings persist in the site owner’s Wix Data collection until the site owner deletes them in the app dashboard or uninstalls the app.
8. Children’s Privacy
The app collects no personal data from anyone, including children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the latest revision.
