Privacy Policy — Data Tables

1. Who We Are
This Privacy Policy describes how the Data Tables app (“we”, “our”, “the app”) handles information when it is installed on a Wix website. The app is developed and operated by an independent developer and is distributed through the Wix App Market.

2. Roles
The site owner who installs the app is the data controller for the tables they publish. We act as a data processor, operating the app’s backend on the site owner’s behalf. All data is stored in the site owner’s own Wix Data collections on Wix infrastructure and is subject to Wix’s Privacy Policy.
3. What Data the App Processes
Tables added by the site owner: the rows and columns the site owner types in, pastes, imports from a file or links from a shared online sheet, together with the table’s settings (column types, layout, theme, colors and texts).
Linked sheets: if the site owner links a sheet or CSV file by its address, the app’s backend downloads that public file to refresh the table. The address is stored with the table and is never sent to visitors. Columns the site owner hides are not sent to visitors either.
Visitors: the app has no forms and collects no personal data from visitors. Visitors only read the published table; searching, filtering and sorting happen in their browser and are not recorded.
4. Cookies and Local Storage
The app does not set any cookies. In the visitor’s browser it uses sessionStorage to keep a copy of the published table for faster loading; it is cleared when the tab is closed.
5. Third-Party Services
The app uses no analytics, tracking or advertising services. From visitors’ browsers it loads only images the site owner puts in image columns. Links in a table open only when a visitor clicks them and are then governed by those sites’ own policies. The shared sheet a site owner links is fetched by the app’s backend from the address the site owner provides; its provider’s own terms apply to that sheet.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
Tables persist in the site owner’s Wix Data collections until the site owner deletes them in the app dashboard or uninstalls the app. Removing the widget from a page does not delete the table.
7. GDPR / CCPA
The site owner decides what a table shows and is responsible for having a lawful basis to publish any personal data in it (for example names, emails or phone numbers in a team directory) and for answering data-subject requests by editing or deleting the table. We do not use this data for our own purposes, do not sell it and do not share it with third parties.

8. Children’s Privacy
The app is not directed at children and does not collect data from visitors.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the latest revision.
