Privacy Policy — FAQ Accordion
Last updated: October 2026
1. Who We Are
This Privacy Policy describes how the FAQ Accordion & Help Center app (“we”, “our”, “the app”) handles information when it is installed on a Wix website. The app is developed and operated by an independent developer and is distributed through the Wix App Market.

2. Roles
The site owner who installs the app is the data controller for the questions and answers they publish. We act as a data processor, operating the app’s backend on the site owner’s behalf. All data is stored in the site owner’s own Wix Data collections on Wix infrastructure and is subject to Wix’s Privacy Policy.
3. What Data the App Processes
FAQs added by the site owner: the questions, answers and categories the site owner types in, pastes or imports from a file, together with the FAQ’s settings (layout, theme, colors and texts). The FAQ’s name is visible only to the site owner.
Visitors: the app has no forms and collects no personal data from visitors. Visitors only read the published FAQ; searching and opening questions happen in their browser and are not recorded.
4. Cookies and Local Storage
The app does not set any cookies. In the visitor’s browser it uses sessionStorage to keep a copy of the published FAQ for faster loading; it is cleared when the tab is closed. “Copy link” writes a link to the clipboard only when the visitor clicks it. In the site owner’s dashboard, localStorage remembers whether a short review request was already shown.
5. Third-Party Services
The app uses no analytics, tracking or advertising services. From visitors’ browsers it loads only images the site owner puts in answers. Links in answers open only when a visitor clicks them and are then governed by those sites’ own policies. The widget adds FAQ structured data (schema.org) to the page so that search engines can read the questions and answers already shown on it.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
FAQs persist in the site owner’s Wix Data collections until the site owner deletes them in the app dashboard or uninstalls the app. Removing the widget from a page does not delete the FAQ.
7. GDPR / CCPA
The site owner decides what an FAQ shows and is responsible for having a lawful basis to publish any personal data in it and for answering data-subject requests by editing or deleting it. We do not use this data for our own purposes, do not sell it and do not share it with third parties.
If you believe your privacy has been affected by an FAQ on a site, contact the site owner first; you may also contact us at bieliaiev.d@gmail.com.
8. Children’s Privacy
The app is not directed at children and does not collect data from visitors.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the latest revision.
